CANCELLATION POLICY :

DELIVERY AGREEMENT:
We (the Hirer) will endevour to deliver within a strict 10 mile radius from GL54 3AP.  We can deliver up to 6 units (bikes, tag-a-longs and trailers) per run. If you require our tandem or E-bikes, a maximum of 4 units can be delivered per run ( as they are slightly larger to transport).

Delivery MUST be organised more than 48 hours in advance of the hire. If you specify your delivery details when hiring the units online, we will add the delivery price to your order when we deliver the bikes.

Your deliver address MUST have a 'safe place' to drop the bikes off. This can anywhere the delivery driver can access away from public view AND with something to lock the units to.

If our delivery driver cannot access a 'safe place', the bikes will be taken back to Far Peak where you may still collect them or ride them from here.
Your delivery fee and deposit are NON-REFUNDABLE within 48 hours of the hire period.

The bikes will (most likely) be dropped and collected at a time convenient to our delivery driver. This MAY NOT be on the day of the hire start and finish, and could be up to 48 hours before and after your booking. Please do not use the units outside of your allotted hire period. You will be charged for your hire and delivery, before the bikes are delivered to the 'safe place'.

If you book a single days hire for delivery bike, an additional days hire will be charged to your account before delivery of the bikes, as a minimum hire period of 48hrs applies.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS INDIVIDUALS AND PRIVATE GROUPS

1. Proof of identification/order reference must be provided upon collection of your equipment.

2. A damage deposit may be required for group bookings over 1 units and will take the form of an pre-authorisation debit/credit card transation, through our on-site terminal or online payment gateway, which will be surrendered upon return of the equipment in a satisfactory condition.

3. As the client, you must agree responsibility for all equipment relating to this hire agreement, which will be listed on your online web order or pre-printed hire form, available when you collect your bikes. Proof of lock breakage is required for any insurance claim.

4. You confirm you are ALL competent cyclists and recognise you will be riding cycles which you may not be familiar with and as such we will exercise additional care and attention. ‘The Hirer’ lends cycles on the understanding that EVERY rider can use gears properly, adjust the saddle height, can put the chain back on, can check the quick release wheel skewers are tight and at least one person knows how to FIX A PUNCTURE or replace a tube.

5. I understand that refunds are only given PER BIKE (not group) and only if ‘The Hirer’ could not restore the journey or allow extra time to complete the ride. Refunds CANNOT BE GIVEN for punctured tyres or damage caused as a result of incorrect use. You accept responsibility for bike damage caused by incorrect use of equipment and that the nature of off-road cycling makes these dangers possible.

By signing a hire agreement you and everyone else in your group declare to be in good health and are not suffering from any medical condition or disability which is likely to adversely affect normal control of the bicycle. a) Not undertake any manoeuvres which are beyond your level of skill or beyond the design purposes of the equipment provided by ‘The Hirer’.
b) Not ride on pavements or footpaths and keep to the Official Cycle Byways. A £500 fine may be levied against you by officers of the Forestry Commission for damage caused to land or livestock off of the permitted cycle network. Please note the whole of the Cotswolds has AONB status.
c) Not cycle after dark as unless your bicycles are fitted with lights, bells reflectors.

11. I understand that in the event of a mechanical failure other than punctures and damage through misuse, ‘The Hirer’ will offer a breakdown service for the cycle but not the individual (due to insurance constraints). The emergency number is 01285700370. If 'The Hirer' deems the call out inappropriate (e.g the cycle is still in mechanically sound condition), a call out fee will be charged, appropriate to the time and inconvenience caused, but no less than £25 per cycle.

12. I fully indemnify ‘The Hirer’ against claims of injury to myself or any third party unless it can be proven that ‘The Hirer’ did not fulfil reasonable maintenance procedures for the equipment being used.

Once the hire period is over, please return the bikes the safe location and lock then up as found for collection. PLEASE NOTE: If our delivery driver is not happy the location is safe for the bikes, they will return the bikes to Far Peak for collection. A delivery charge will be added to you bill, depending on our rental conditions through our website.

14. I understand that bikes not returned to the place of hire (Far Peak GL54 3AP or the Delivery Address) which require collection will be charged for collection by our delivery team.  A £50 charge for collection within 10 mile radius of GL543AP or £100 charge for collection over 10 mile radius from GL543AP.  I also agree that I will be charged for an additional hire period up to a maximum of 72 hours allowing for our delivery team to arrange collection.  Failure to specify the collection address or security of the bikes in the collection address, will be regarded as theft and reported the police.
