CYCLE ROUTES from Notgrove Holidays

Something for everyone

With so much to explore, you can get anywhere in the Cotswolds without ever riding on a major road. Miles and miles of traffic free cycling and good off road tracks year round in a beautiful setting. Check out some suggestions below.

Cotswolds Bike Hire are based at Far Peak, about 5 miles south of Notgrove.  Our website has plenty of route suggestions running directly from the centre but we have created some fantastic suggestions exclusively for Notgrove Holidays too.

These make the most of the 1500 acres off road around the Notgrove Estate, with some private trails especially for guests, as well as the network of quiet public roads, byways and bridle paths too.

Each route is linked to the OS maps app/website so you can take the route on the move for free.

Short Loop

Difficulty: 4/10

A few short sharp hills and a short section of dirt track with some pot holes.

Duration: 1-2 hours

If you decide to divert to Bourton on the Water (at Gom's Hole junction), it is only a short ride and will add another hour.

Distance: 10 miles (15 if you divert to BOTW)

Terrain: Mostly road (all very quiet) with one section of dirt track from Gom's Hole to the A429 crossing.  A light mountain bike would be recommended.

Medium Loop

Difficulty: 6/10

Hilly but on good surfaces and with plenty of stops.

Duration: 2-3 hours

Stops at Sherbourne Village Shop and Bourton on the Water recommended.

Distance: 18 miles

Terrain: All quiet country (hilly) roads.  The views are worth it though.
